What Is The Resiliency Series?
We have designed our Resiliency Series to address the unique challenges and stresses of advocacy leaders during this difficult time. These 60 minute workshops bring together a group of 15-30 employees and leaders of cancer non-profit advocacy organizations, independent advocates, and social workers.
As a participant of the Resiliency Series, you will have the opportunity to gain new self-care and leadership skills to navigate not only your cancer experience and patient advocacy work, but also challenges associated with the pandemic and racial justice crisis.
As part of the Resiliency Series, AFC will offer:
- Variety: virtual sessions exploring different themes
- Flexibility: multiple presentations of each theme to accommodate a variety of schedules
- Access: the choice to join as few or as many sessions as you would like
- Options: beyond the initial session(s), you will have the opportunity to opt in for:
- Follow up 1-1 partner discussions
- Follow up group sessions on the same theme (to build community and facilitate ongoing learning)
- Online Resources: a dedicated resource library on our website that offers curated leadership and self-care resources, specifically for advocacy leaders (coming in 2021)
