jennifer-s-africaThis #GivingTuesday, donate and make a triple impact: impact a life, impact a community, and impact the world. Donate to the our Reimagine The Future Beyond Cancer campaign and watch your gift ripple out to not only help fund a scholarship for someone financially and emotionally devastated by cancer, but also benefit those in need in communities at home and around the world.

Why Our Programs Matter

  • There are currently 14 million cancer survivors in the United States (expected to grow to 19 million by 2020) as well as millions of caregivers who have faced cancer through a loved one’s diagnosis
  • Emotional distress (depression, isolation, anger, anxiety, survivor guilt, and fear of recurrence or death) is the most under reported and common side effect of cancer and over 50% of those experiencing distress don’t benefit from traditional support.

A Fresh Chapter offers an innovative, meaningful, intervention to serve men and women who need emotional support, but do not want to attend a traditional support group. Since February 2013, 100 A Fresh Chapter participants have contributed more than 3,500 volunteer hours to dozens of organizations – positively impacting the lives of many hundreds of people around the world. Click this link to make your #GivingTuesday contribution and help us make a bigger impact in 2017.

Join Us & Channel Grief Into Action

In 2014, after Melissa Carroll – an inspiring member of our pilot program passed away – her family created a scholarship fund in her honor. You, too, can honor someone in your life by making a contribution in his or her name. We will add your loved one’s photograph to the Memoriam Mural on our new website (coming in 2017). In addition, we will share our journey to South Africa with you. You will get to meet the recipients of our scholarships and experience the program vicariously through them. Although we can’t turn back the clock and erase cancer from the landscape of our lives, we can channel our grief into action.

Join us in turning the darkness of cancer into something positive. Please DONATE NOW and help us spread the word. Thank you for your support!
