New Year, New Logo, New Look – Coming Soon for A Fresh Chapter
Happy New Year! We are excited about 2017 and all that we have planned. In the coming weeks you’ll hear about some of our exciting 2017 initiatives, including upcoming programs, recruitment for our board of directors, a new ambassador’s program, and much more.
Today we are thrilled to announce and unveil a new logo and tagline for A Fresh Chapter.
We’ve known for a while that we had outgrown our original logo (yes, the pink flower is gone!) and that it was time for something fresh and new. Our new logo and tagline, which we will begin using immediately, better illustrates the organization’s vision and mission and is more accessible to the broad range of participants who come on A Fresh Chapter programs. This is a project that has been a long time in the making, but one where we think you’ll agree – the wait has been worth it. Without further ado – here it is…
The new logo and tagline (designed by Bellboy Creative) are part of a bigger branding strategy that A Fresh Chapter will be undergoing throughout 2017. Our organization is growing up and as such, we are putting together a variety of branding efforts to help ensure a cohesive design to support our messaging and programming activities. In addition to the new logo and tagline, we have begun planning for a new website for the organization, to be completed in the first half of 2017. We are currently vetting various design firms and freelancers who can take our vision for the new website and turn it into reality. We are specifically looking for individuals who work in WordPress. If you know of a good design firm or independent web designer that we should talk to, please let us know right away. We would love it if one of our tribe members could help us facilitate a few more conversations.
And speaking about our tribe, the logo redesign project was spearheaded by one of our own, tribe member Rebecca Moore. Rebecca attended our first South Africa program in November of 2015 and made a lasting impact by using her design skills to manage and create a catalogue to showcase items available through our partner’s income generation project. After the program, Rebecca remained involved with A Fresh Chapter, creating beautiful postcards for our fundraising campaign, designing a look and feel document to guide our current branding process, and most recently, acting as creative director for both the new logo and new website projects. A few weeks ago, after facing cancer for almost her entire adult life, Rebecca passed away. We are all deeply saddened by this loss and continue to be inspired by the fact that Rebecca refused to let cancer define her. Up until the very end, she was passionate about making an impact.
As we move forward in 2017 we hope that our new logo will be a positive reminder of the impact you, our tribe, has had on A Fresh Chapter. Whether you’ve volunteered your time, donated your money, participated in a program, or supported someone to participate in a program, you have made a difference in this organization. With your ongoing support, we hope to continue to change lives – in the cancer space and beyond.

I love that logo! Speaks volumes with so few words! I’m excited to see what amazing things AFC will be up to in 2017 (and how I can help!)
