Terri Wingham is the founder and CEO of A Fresh Chapter, a cancer survivor, and someone who believes that we are not defined by the most difficult aspects of our story. Written by Terri Wingham | November 2, 2012 |
Today’s post comes to you courtesy of Mark Guay. A volunteer for the Fresh Chapter Foundation, Mark has had his own experience with accepting adversity and starting a fresh chapter. Although he wrote this post a few weeks ago, the reference to feeling trapped in a hurricane feels timely to me.

What an encouraging post. Acceptance is the key, isn’t it? And we can find wonderful new adventures through it all. xo
Loved reading this.. I have been pondering a quote this week about learning to embrace the life we have by letting go of the life we thought or planned we would have. I admit it’s a struggle for me – but knowing that it is a feeling shared by others helps. Thanks for sharing Mark’s story
A true believer in acceptance. Great post.
Thank you, Mark. I could see so much of my husband in your post. I plan to share it with him. And I see myself too. Yesterday I learned my wallet was stolen & the thieves spent over $2000. Although I felt frazzled, I knew this was just a hassle, and I chose to continue to enjoy my weekend. Cancer & natural disasters remind us of whats really important in life.
Love this post!!!
