Our ‘Karma Challenge’ Begins…

Even though I have not written the annual Oprah or Martha Beck inspired What Are Your Three Words or Resolutions Schmesolutions post, I couldn’t resist weaving a little “live your best life” into today’s kick-off of our Karma Challenge.

You see, one of my favourite Oprah-adages is the concept that each of us has the ability to use our life to serve the world.

People often tell me that they wish they could do more to make a difference, but the problems we are faced with today feel too overwhelming. But, what if you didn’t need anything more than your unique skills and talents to get started?

What if you could help us raise the money we need to take cancer survivors to India and then make sure we give them a once-in-a-lifetime, holy-sh!t I made it through cancer treatment, off the couch, and to the other side of the world to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise, experience. Imagine the wonderful karma you could build in your life and the world, simply by offering to do something that you love and are good at? (more…)
