May 26, 2011 was the day I learned that I had breast cancer. At the age of 44, I was living my life without giving much thought to my health. I worked 12-hour shifts at the Crisis Unit in Child Protection as a Social Worker, was divorced and was living with my 19 year old daughter. (more…)
