Once In a Lifetime Trip to The Taj Mahal
On the weekend between your weeks of volunteering in New Delhi, we will travel just a few hours away to visit the bustling city of Agra. We’ll check into our hotel, have a light lunch, and then spend the afternoon exploring the wonders of the Red Fort before we get our first glimpse of the Taj as the sun sets across the river. The next morning, we’ll return before first light to be one of the first people inside the gates. We’ll watch the sky light up and dust this epically beautiful structure with first pink and then golden light. We’ll explore the grounds, take hundreds of photographs and steep ourselves in the awe that comes with standing in front of a scene you might only ever have dreamed about.

They will take care of every detail of this once-in-a-lifetime weekend for us. From collecting us in New Delhi in a safe and clean bus to arranging our accommodation in an Agra hotel to helping us soak in the very most of every element of this experience. This will be our 5th program partnering with G Adventures in India and we can’t wait to share this experience with you.
Please plan to leave room in your budget for tipping the G Adventures guides and bus drivers ($10-15 per person for the bus drivers, and $15-30 per person for our main guide.)
Passport
Please send Stacy your passport details as soon as possible as your passport number and date of birth is required to book your weekend trip with us. Please note: If your passport expires within 6 months of your travel dates to India, you will need to renew it in order to travel. Please make sure you have a valid passport as soon as possible, so we can begin to make all of the travel arrangements for you. You will need to travel with your passport for our weekend away.
Packing Guide
You will leave your large suitcase back in New Delhi. A smaller bag for this weekend trip is suggested (it could be your carry on bag.) We recommend that you pack layers! It can be warm during the day and cold at night! We will go over all of the details of what to bring, once we’re together in New Delhi.
