Role Overview

AFC is currently seeking an organized, detail-oriented problem-solver to join our dynamic team. As the Program Coordinator, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our virtual and in-person programs by efficiently handling a variety of administrative and organizational duties. You will work closely with the team to coordinate program logistics, communicate and build relationships with participants and partners, track tasks, organize information and maintain databases, and provide general administrative and strategic support. Our small, remote-based team communicates daily via email, Slack, and Zoom to work collaboratively and cohesively on program development; program administration; fundraising, donations, and grant applications; and communications, marketing, and social media. Through this role, you will not only provide instrumental support to our team, but the impact of your work will make a real difference in the lives of people affected by cancer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Strong technical skills and experience using and collaborating on a variety of technical platforms, including Google Workspace, Slack, Dropbox, etc.
  • A team mindset and the ability to adapt to diverse working styles
  • Experience in managing projects in terms of tracking against a timeline and overseeing a variety of logistical activities
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • The ability to see a need and fill the gap and approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset
  • A track record of working efficiently and the ability to prioritize effectively in a rapidly changing dynamic environment with deadline pressures
  • A growth mindset and desire to continuously learn and improve both professional and personal skills
  • The ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with non-profit structures, practices, and organizational cultures is preferred

Schedule

  • This is a full time position. You will have some flexibility to schedule your own hours. Our team works from multiple time zones and collaborates/communicates throughout the day. The ability to schedule the majority of your work hours between 7am-2pm PT (10am-5pm ET) is preferred.

Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000 (commensurate with experience) and access to excellent health insurance and benefits. This is a full-time position.
