Integrate #11: Stay Connected

Integrate Series #11: Stay Connected

One of the most important parts of the A Fresh Chapter experience is feeling like you have a tribe of people excited to support you through the highs and lows of navigating this next chapter in your story.

As we come to the close of our Integrate Series, it’s important to consider how you want to stay connected to your tribe. It’s equally as important to think about how you want to build a deeper sense of tribe and connection in your daily life at home.

Connection happens when we are willing to share our stories with the people in our lives,  to hold space, and to ask for support as we navigate the highs and lows of life. Connections are investments. If you find yourself feeling a little lonely or like people are not investing in you, what if you could instead think about who you want to invest in.

Activity

When it comes to gratitude, what we focus on in life expands. The invitation this week is to think about what connections in your life you are grateful for. This could be people in your community, at work, in the AFC tribe, in the cancer community. How do you want to celebrate these connections? Perhaps this week, you can share hand-written gratitude cards or text messages or a phone call with the people in your life thanking them for being there for you.

Write or Create Read More

There is no right way to tackle the reflection prompts below. You can answer any, all, or none of the questions. You can either write the answers in a more traditional journaling format (either in a physical journal or an online journal) or you could explore the creative process of art journaling. Other options are to sit down with someone in your life or connect with someone in your tribe and ask these questions of each other. Whatever reflection mode you choose, you are welcome to answer any, all, or none of the questions. This is simply an opportunity to carve out some time to reflect and see what emerges.

  • How do I want to sustain my connection to the AFC tribe?
  • What connections am I grateful for?
  • What connections do I want to cultivate at home? Why are these connections important to me?
  • Who in my life might be going through a difficult time? How might I show up for them?
